Shout out to all you breweries, beverage manufacturers, candy and food producing companies. Shout out to #FMCG.

While your products are straightforward and everyone understands them, you are also the industry where I've seen the highest readiness for basic sales enablement. And that's a compliment.

Start any B2B sales job outside of the SaaS / Tech bubble, and you're most likely confronted with having to learn the ins and outs of everything in your company to a degree that will leave you slow to get off the mark with your own pipeline.

Not so in FMCG. A rep starting in FMCG can often just hit the ground running.

The sales and marketing collaterals are there.

The offering & pricing are usually clear as day.

Go forth and sell.

While some might say it's easy for them to have everything ready because of their offering, I think it still takes a massive effort to keep it organized and they do it at higher rate than almost any other industry bar pharma that I've seen.

So how about we try to learn from them?
